Being spun-off from Bayer, LANXESS includes most of Bayer's former chemical activities, and about one third of its former polymers business. LANXESS was listed as an independent company on the stock exchange on January 31, 2005.

LANXESS K.K. is the Japanese subsidiary of LANXESS. All 13 Business units are represented in Japan, supplying a broad range of products to our Japanese customers. LANXESS K.K. is headquartered in Tokyo, with further locations in Toyohashi and Himeji. With approximately 110 employees, LANXESS K.K. achieved total sales of around JPY 20 billion in 2009.
