The Basic Chemicals Business Unit is one of the world's major suppliers of high-quality industrial chemicals. Aromatic compounds have a predominant position in its broad portfolio of products.
Chlorobenzenes, chlorotoluens and nitrotoluens, as well as derivatives like nitrochlorobenzens, cresols, toluidines and monoisocyanates are manufactured in an integrated cluster of production plants. The Basic Chemicals Business Unit is also a major producer of amines, amino alcohols, benzyl products, hydrofloric acid and sulfuric acid, fluorine compounds, oxidation products like phthalic anhydride and polyols such as trimethylol propane.
